VINTAGE 1950′S REISSUE KAY THIN TWIN GUITAR! NO RESERVE

29 05 2010
VINTAGE 1950'S REISSUE KAY THIN TWIN GUITAR! NO RESERVE

Info:  You are bidding on an original Kay “Thin Twin’ model electric guitar. This guitar is an outstanding reissue of the classic 1950′s model. It is a very faithful recreation of the original, with the exception of 3 very important improvements on the original design. The first is the inclusion of a tune-o-matic style bridge, a vast improvement over the primitive wooden bridge found on the originals. The new design allows for a better tone and vastly improved intonation. The second is the “Kelvinator” style headstock, which is probably the coolest looking thing ever found on any guitar, ever. The third is the neck shape and size. The originals had a HUGE baseball bat sized neck, big to the point of almost being unplayable. The new neck is far more slender, and feels to me very much like a Les Paul or other Gibson style guitar. This guitar is in as-new condition. Absolutely mint and gorgeous. The checkerboard binding and deco pickguard looks super cool!It comes with original case, which is in very nice condition, but has some minor scuffs and scratches, as well as a fingernail size tear in the outer tolex. Overall it is in great shape, but not quite mint.Check my feedback, and bid with confidence.Shipping is $40 in the USA, $70 in Canada, and $150 everyplace else in the world. Vintage 1977 Fender Telecaster maple neck with tuners

28 05 2010
Vintage 1977 Fender Telecaster maple neck with tuners

Info:  This auction is for a vintage 1977 Fender Telecaster neck.  The neck has a serial number of S724454, the stamp on the base of the neck is 2303-1572 and the pots on the guitar the neck came from also were from 1977.  The neck came from a playable guitar.  It is straight, not warped and the truss rod works.  Overall, the neck is in very good condition, but has been well played.  The frets are original and are pretty low.  There are some very slight in dents from the strings on the top frets.  The frets might be able to take one more dressing, but if this neck was put on a gigging guitar then it would eventually need a re-fret.  Overall, the fret board is in good condition.  The original glossy finish remains on most of the board, with some flaking on the outside edges and adjacent to the frets.  The sides of the neck/fretboard show some wear and discoloration from typical use.  You can definitely feel the missing finish and wear when you slide you hand up and down the neck in the playing position, especially on the bottom of the neck.  The nut appears to be original and is in good shape.  The back of the neck is in very good condition with original glossy finish.  There are two nicks in the back of the neck which are basically small finish chips; not into the wood.  The largest chip is behind the 7th fret and is about 3/16″.  These are minor, but you do feel them since the rest o f the neck is smooth.  The headstock is in excellent shape with a complete original decal and minimal wear.  The headstock is the same color as the rest of the neck and has not turned darker as many old Tele/Strat necks do.  The two original string trees are in place.  The neck did not have the original tuners on it when I bought the guitar.  There were screw on tuners that did not require any extra drilling.  You can see the slight marks on the face of the headstock from the washers that were slightly larger than the original ferrels.  There are also slight marks/indents from the tuners on the back of the headstock, but are covered by the original tuners.  The tuners, ferrels and original screws were in a bag inside the case compartment when I bought the guitar and have been re-installed.  I am assuming these are the original tuners, since they are exactly like the tuners on my 1978 Tele Custom and 1977 Strat.  They have the expose d copper colored areas and are stamped “made in Germany” (Schallers).  The tuners are all straight, look almost like new and work well.  This neck would not be appropriate as is for restoring a 1977 Fender Tele to perfect 10/10 condition.  It would look and work … Click For More Info

Vintage Pedal Steel Guitar Mark 1 E9th tuning 3 & 1

28 05 2010
Vintage Pedal Steel Guitar Mark 1 E9th tuning 3 & 1

Info:  1970′s Vintage Pedal Steel Guitar Here I have a Pedal Steel Guitar manufactured in Michigan by Market-Rite Guitar Products.  I bought this fully expecting to learn it and play it, but time and priorities, as they often do, have again burst my bubble.  Everything operates as it should, except for two minor things…. The first being a fine tuner on the 5th string; it doesn’t quite reach to tune the string, but I think this can be fixed by replacing the string and setting its holder beforehand.  The second is the clips and rods that connect the pedals and their pullers; one rod is slightly bent, but I’m almost positive this is not an issue. The clips also are a little clumsy, but again this does not affect the way the piece plays… The original case is included, which has seen better days, but is completely in tact and will serve is purpose well for some time to come. Also included is some literature I got with the piece, a tuning key, and a steel slide made by Dunlop.  I am starting this auction at a price much lower than what I paid for it…my loss is your gain. I wish I had the time for it, or even the money to keep it…Good luck and happy bidding. Any questions, please feel free to ask….Paypal payment only from buyers in the United States. Bidders from Alaska or Hawaii, please contact me before bidding for a shipping quote.   -ThanksOn May-24-10 at 18:49:09 PDT, seller added the following information:Shipping price reflects shipping within the Contintental United States!!! Vintage 1980 Gibson Flying V V2 Electric Guitar

28 05 2010
Vintage 1980 Gibson Flying V V2 Electric Guitar

Info:       Please Scroll down to see pictures below.   I recently ended, and re-listed this item because there was a mistake in the title, also we had the guitar cleaned and restrung. I took a NEW picture of the fretboard, now its very clean, looks Great. I apologize if re-listing cause any inconvience. We just wanted buyers to be able to FIND IT, which the last title made almost impossible.  Thanks! Up for auction is this beautiful vintage 1980 Gibson Flying V-II electric guitar with original Gibson hardcase. This amazing, all original V, serial number 80090027, is in very good cosmetic condition. This particular Gibson V2 is among the first batch to be made in 1980, (Date Jan.09,1980) (researched serial at www.gibson.com) and even 30 years later, this guitar looks great with only a few MINOR cosmetic issues (Gold plating is coming up on bridge and a few other spots, a couple laquer surface scuffs, screws have some tarnish-slight rust). Please take the time to read the description and take a look at our photos. Remember that this No Reserve auction, and that the high bidder wins regardless of price! This gorgeous guitar features Gibson Boomerang pickups with gold mounts, a 5 piece Maple/Walnut neck with a 22-fret, dot-inlayed Ebony fingerboard and, gold tuning machines, gold Tune-o-Matic bridge, and a gold v-shaped endplate, and Walnut body.  The guitar is in perfect working condition and good cosmetic condition. It is nice, the selector works perfectly, the action is nice and low, strings are NEW, plus the neck is straight. The guitar sounds great, and is a real pleasure to play. There is VERY light fret wear, and only very minimal evidence of such on the first two frets. There are a few very minor cosmetic flaws on the instrument, most notably wear on the boomerang V bridge endplate and other gold-plated parts. All photos are of the actual item. Also included in this auction is the original Gibson case which is in good condition, functions properly, given its age. The case has rust on the latches, but still closes tight, all latches work, and the interior is nice with no stains. When this Gibson Flying V2 was released in 1980 retail was $1299. This is a nice Gibson that is RARE and very collectible.
