Rare Vintage Phillip Kubicki Strat style guitar

Info:  Hello Guitar heads!!! Up for auction is my late seventies, early eighties Kubicki guitar. If your looking at this auction, You already know who Mr. Kubicki is. If not, Google him. This is the holy grail of Kubicki Guitars. Maybe the only the one in existence with a reverse head stock. The Kubicki logo is correct proving that whent he neck was made, it was reversed from the start. A trememdous amount bird’s eye and marbling  throughout the neck. The most exotic piece of maple that you will ever see. AAA flame Body With a see through turqouise color that is beautiful. I’m not sure the type of wood used in the body. Schaller West German machine heads. Recessed locking Floyd Rose tremelo with lockling nut.( Real Floyd!! not liscensed) Floyd Rose is flawless and almost never goes out of tune no matter how hard you pull up or dive bomb. Bridge pickup has no I.D. markings but im told it could be a Bill Lawrence pickup. Neck pickup is a rail also with no I.d. markings.( both pickups sound awesome) Pick guard is a plastic bird’s eye pattern that resembles the neck. One volume knob and one mini toggle switch for the pickups. Condition: The guitar is in outstanding condition for its age. There is one nick at the top of the body that is about the size of a pencil eraser. Fret ware is very minimal for a Thirty Plus year old guitar. There are a few spots on the finger board where the clear coat has worn away but in NO WAY AFFECT THE PLAYABILITY OF THIS INSTRUMENT. It only adds to the mojo of this awesome instrument. This Guitar plays like BUTTA!!! Tremendous Sustain!!! Tone, both clean and overdriven, for days! Reason For sale: It breaks my heart to part with, but this guitar will fetch the money I need to settle with the I.R.S. . The winning bidder will be blown away when they unpack this guitar in the hardshell case from ups. Of course this instrument will be extremly carefully and tediously packed as it has been cared for, for decades.  NO BS!!! NO ISSUES!!! NO DISAPPOINTMENTS!!! Paypal only please. Vintage Red & White Airline Resoglass Guitar

30 06 2009
Vintage Red & White Airline Resoglass Guitar

Info:   Here is one Airline guitar from the 1960′s.  It is a red resoglass guitar with the white binding.  You could pay $1200 getting the exact model Jack White used, or you could spend half that and get this short scale one to experiment with that raw White Stripes sound.  This guitar does have tone to the bone.I imagine through an Sears amp you would have THE sound, but even without the Sears amp, the guitar’s big, thick sound with crazy distortion is not something you are going to hear from any new guitar.I added the bowtie floating, adustible height bridge, a nut, and a period neck pickup. The bridge pickup is original. I also DeOxified the electronicsso they work like new.  No crackle.  Like new!I have heard the neck pickup described as a mustache pickup, but I don’t remember the manufacturer.  I bought a few old pickups and this one fitperfectly and sounded great, so I used it.  It may have come from a lap steel guitar.  But I don’t really remember.  I should write stuff down but I don’t.As you can see from the pictures, the guitar is in great shape for its age!   Flaw-wise, you can see the pickguard edge is chipped in two places, paint has peeled from the wooden neck in a few small strips.  There is a small gap between the body and the neck, but the neck fits in tight, and the guitar holds its tune for weeks.  There is an extra screw hole in the pickguard that does nothave a screw. The resoglass body  looks almost looks new.  The metal knobs over the neck screws are present.  The white stripe all around the body is present and looks great.  I wonder if the White Stripes got their name from that stripe?  Somebody ask Jack.I will include a chip board case that is in very good shape.  It may or may not be the case the guitar originally came in.  (It’s what I gotit in.)  The case looks period correct, but it could have held a larger guitar, so who knows?I only ship in the USA.There are no returns unless I really mis-described something. … Click For More Info

WURLITZER GEMINI VINTAGE ELECTRIC SOLID BODY GUITAR

26 06 2009
WURLITZER GEMINI VINTAGE ELECTRIC SOLID BODY GUITAR

Info:    WURLITZER GEMINI ELECTRIC GUITAR!ITEM: For your consideration is this vintage 1966 Wurlitzer Gemini stereo electric guitar, serial #410892.  The Holman-Woodell guitar company of Neodesha, Kansas was commissioned by The Wurlitzer company of Elkhart, Indiana to produce a line of electric solid body guitars.  The Holman-Woodell guitar company made guitars from 1965-1968.  This example is in good all original condition with expected wear and weather-checking.  The B string groove in the original nut is too deep causing the B string to produce sitar-esque buzzing when not fretted.  Otherwise, the guitar functions perfectly. This Gemini is a stereo guitar; each pickup is dedicated to a channel.  They can be blended together, when both are used, by adjusting the Balance knob on the lower cutaway. The toggle switch on the upper cutaway allows either pickup or both to be used. The pickups are Holman-Woodell made “Sensi-Tone” single-coils (with adjustable poles) with two tone settings: Jazz or Rock. There are also the standard tone and volume controls for each pickup. The tuners are six-in-line Kluson Deluxes (worth quite a bit on their own). The body is made of Canadian Maple and the neck is Brazilian Rosewood. The neck is a bolt on with an adjustable truss rod. The bound neck includes red position markers on the side in addition to the pearl-in-lay markers on the fretboard. The tremolo is a Bigsby inspired unit with a “W” cut out and called the Wurlitzer Vibratron. It has a Tunemaster adjustable bridge with plastic saddles. The Gemini was part of a line of guitars called the “Wild One.” These models included the Gemini, Cougar, and Wildcat models from Wurlitzer. The Wild One series of guitars were made from 1965-1966. The Gemini model designation is 2531. The guitar does not include the original hard shell case.Good luck, and remember that all of our $.01 MINIMUM NO RESERVE auctions include FREE SHIPPING anywhere within the God Blessed Continental United States.        BUYER PLEASE READ: Address:THRIFT STORE MUSIC7561 W.
